How We Help
Since Mighty Oakes Heart Foundation was founded in 2011, we've served more than 6,000 heart families.
Our vision is to be a source of strength, assurance and hope to families of children with congenital heart defects.

The Need
Each year, one in 100 infants are born with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD). And despite its prevalence, CHD is grossly underfunded.
Only 40% of children born with a CHD have been diagnosed in utero. Families are often surprised and also unprepared for what this diagnosis entails.
Little is known about the cause of most of the more than 40 types of CHDs, and there is no prevention or cure for any of them.

Other Ways We Give
Bringing Joy to Families
Tall hospital-grade crib-height chairs for CICU, holiday parties, and personalized keepsake jewelry are just some of the ways we help ease the burden for heart families.
New Mom Needs
Purchasing items like nursing bras and Boppy pillows for new moms.
Camp Rhythm
Volunteering and sponsoring craft activities at summer camp for children with congenital or acquired heart defects.
Holiday Adopt-A-Family
Soliciting donations, collecting, and delivering toys to area heart families during the holidays.
We are dedicated to expanding our reach, while continuing to support and connect with families on a personal level. We seek to be an example of the power of love to overcome fear and make us mighty.
Mighty Hearts
Our indestructible plastic hearts are perfect to hang on a tree, fence, wreath, garden stake or on your porch. Made of acrylic, with a predrilled hole, and our website etched into the side of the heart, these hearts make the perfect statement of love inside or outside.
To the team at MOHF, they are a way to create awareness for CHD's, for the Ortyl Family, they are a wink from Oakesie,
but they hold personal meanings for everyone that hangs them!
